Secure Precast Applications For Government, Military, And Commercial Facilities
Carolina Precast manufactures and installs precast concrete wall panel structures. The facilities we build are ones where physical security, regulatory compliance, and construction precision define the project scope.
Our primary applications are small-to-mid-sized secure enclosures built with structural precast panels, assembled through mechanical and welded connections, and engineered to meet specific security and compliance standards.
Whatever we do, the same engineering discipline, quality management system, and installation precision govern the work.
If your facility or project requirement is not listed here, contact our engineering team to discuss whether your project is a great fit for Carolina Precast.

Government And Military Facilities
Government and military construction is Carolina Precast’s primary market. Our products are listed on the GSA schedule, giving federal agencies and government contractors a streamlined procurement path for secure precast enclosures.
DEA-Compliant Storage
Facilities storing Schedule II–V controlled substances require vault construction built to DEA regulatory standards. Carolina Precast manufactures and installs enclosures engineered specifically for DEA-compliant pharmaceutical and controlled substance storage, including secure rooms within larger warehouse and distribution facilities.
DOE Secure Material Handling
Department of Energy applications require enclosures built to specific material handling and containment standards. Our precast wall panel systems deliver the physical security and construction documentation these facilities demand.
Military Armories
Carolina Precast builds secure enclosures for weapons storage and armory applications. Armory construction requires burglary-resistant wall systems, rated access points, and compliance documentation that satisfies military inspection standards. Our precast concrete panel systems provide superior burglary resistance and blast attenuation compared to steel construction of equivalent thickness.
For weapons storage delivered as a complete, factory-assembled unit, see Preassembled Armories. For bulk ammunition and explosives storage, see Earth-Covered Magazines.Classified Data Storage and Sensitive Information Facilities
Facilities housing classified data, sensitive compartmented information, and restricted materials require hardened physical construction that meets specific security standards for walls, floors, ceilings, and access points. SecurCast provides the physical security enclosure layer for these facilities, pairing structural precast panels with UL-rated and GSA-approved vault doors and components, joined by mechanical and welded connections that leave no exploitable seams. Complete SCIF accreditation involves additional specialized components — including RF shielding, TEMPEST compliance, and information security infrastructure — that are integrated by qualified SCIF system providers within the hardened enclosure Carolina Precast constructs.
For standalone classified storage delivered as a complete unit, see Preassembled Armories.
Government Buildings
Federal, state, and local government facilities requiring secure construction (including secure records storage, high-security operations centers, and hardened building perimeters) are core applications for Carolina Precast’s wall panel systems.
Blast And Fire Rated Construction
Carolina Precast manufactures precast protective panels for facilities that require blast protection, fire-rated construction, and physical separation of high-risk areas. Applications include protection of utilities from falling debris, blast attenuation barriers, fire-rated enclosures, and panels that physically protect and separate areas at risk from adjacent high-risk zones.
Precast concrete delivers inherent blast attenuation and fire resistance that steel and conventional construction methods cannot match at equivalent thickness. Our panel systems are engineered with these performance characteristics as baseline capabilities, not aftermarket additions.
Pharmaceutical And Controlled Substance Storage
DEA-regulated pharmaceutical facilities require vault construction built to specific compliance standards. Carolina Precast manufactures and installs enclosures for controlled substance storage, pharmaceutical warehousing, and distribution center hardening.
Pharmaceutical vault construction is a growing focus for Carolina Precast and International Vault. For expanded pharmaceutical content, specifications, and industry-specific resources, visit our product page on the International Vault website.
Financial And High-Value Storage
Bank vaults, precious metal storage, jewelry storage, and cash handling facilities require construction that meets UL burglary-resistance ratings. Carolina Precast delivers UL-rated and GSA-rated enclosures for financial institutions and high-value storage applications, including both new vault construction and expansion of existing vault facilities.
Financial vault projects frequently involve expansion within an existing building — adding rated secure capacity without reconstructing the surrounding facility. SecurCast panels are engineered for these integration projects, connecting to existing structures through the same mechanical and welded systems used in new construction.
Commercial Secure Construction
Carolina Precast serves commercial facilities where physical security is an operational requirement. Our commercial applications focus on small-to-mid-sized enclosures within larger facilities, not general commercial building construction.
Commercial applications include secure warehousing, evidence and records storage for law enforcement agencies, data center perimeter enclosures, valuable asset storage buildings, and other facilities where rated physical security is required by the client, an insurer, or a regulatory body.
Carolina Precast has precast concrete casting space to accommodate commercial precast wall panel construction projects that fit our small-to-mid-sized project scope.
Existing Vault Expansion
Vault expansion is one of Carolina Precast’s most critical applications. Many government, financial, and pharmaceutical facilities need to expand secure storage capacity within or adjacent to an existing structure — without full-facility reconstruction and with minimal operational disruption.
Our expansion process begins with a site assessment during the design phase to evaluate structural compatibility, access constraints, and security rating requirements. From there, we design and manufacture SecurCast panels to fit the specific dimensions and compliance standards of the expansion. Mechanical and welded connections ensure the new enclosure performs to the same security rating as a ground-up build.
If your facility has outgrown its current vault capacity, Carolina Precast engineers vault expansions that integrate with your existing construction and deliver rated performance from the first day of operation.
Columbarium Construction
A reputation for precision engineering, documented quality, and reliable installation occasionally brings Carolina Precast work beyond the secure construction field.
Columbarium construction is the clearest example. It demands the same tolerances, architectural finish quality, and schedule discipline as a rated enclosure, applied to a structure that must stand as a permanent memorial.
Featured Project: Arlington National Cemetery
Carolina Precast manufactured and installed the columbarium at Arlington National Cemetery Court 9 — over 20,000 niches, completed ahead of schedule and under budget. Arlington remains the definitive demonstration of what our engineering, manufacturing, and installation standards deliver, and we welcome the opportunity to take on additional columbarium projects for national cemeteries and memorial sites.

Precast Explosive Storage Magazines
Carolina Precast manufactures precast explosive storage magazines, including earth covered magazines designed for munitions and explosive storage in compliance with military and federal safety standards. Earth covered magazines are field-assembled precast structures engineered for blast containment and safe separation distances.
