What SecurCast Delivers

SecurCast is Carolina Precast’s system for rated secure enclosures. It pairs our structural precast concrete wall panels with UL-rated and GSA-approved vault products, including vault doors, modular vault panels, and emergency vault ventilators, creating a unified system that eliminates the vulnerabilities of conventional build methods.

Each half of the system does its own job. The precast panels form the structure: engineered to project loads, cast under our documented quality system, and joined with mechanical and welded connections at every joint. The vault products carry the security rating: vault doors and modular vault panels are built to UL 608 burglary-resistance standards, ventilators to UL 680, and GSA-approved models to Federal Specifications AA-D-600D for security vault doors and AA-V-2737 for modular vaults.

Existing Vault Expansion

Not every secure construction project starts from bare ground. Many facilities need to expand vault capacity within or adjacent to an existing structure. SecurCast panels are engineered to integrate with existing buildings, adding rated secure enclosures without full-facility reconstruction.

Our expansion process begins with a site assessment to evaluate structural compatibility, access constraints, and security rating requirements. From there, we design and manufacture panels to fit the specific dimensions and compliance standards of your expansion.

The expansion uses the same rated vault doors and panels and the same mechanical and welded connections as a ground-up build, so the new enclosure performs to the same rating.

If your facility has outgrown its current vault space, SecurCast vault expansion delivers added capacity with minimal operational disruption.

Compliance and Security Ratings

SecurCast enclosures are built to meet the security and compliance standards required by federal agencies and regulated industries. Every project is designed against specific rating requirements, not generic construction benchmarks.

  • UL 608 burglary-resistant vault doors and modular vault panels
  • GSA-approved vault doors and modular vaults built to Federal Specifications AA-D-600D and AA-V-2737
  • UL 680 emergency vault ventilators and vault-ventilating ports
  • DEA-compliant vault construction for Schedule II–V controlled substance storage
  • DOE secure storage construction for materials handling and containment
  • Insulation level variance compliance for thermal performance within rated assemblies

Security ratings are carried by the rated vault products as installed. The precast structure around them is engineered to your project’s structural, thermal, and code requirements.

Architectural Finishes and Custom Additions

Secure construction does not have to look like secure construction. SecurCast panels accept architectural finishes that allow hardened enclosures to integrate visually with their surrounding facility.

Standard Finish Options

  • Form finish for clean, consistent panel surfaces
  • Chamfered edges for precise architectural detailing
  • Bullnose profiles for finished edge transitions

Custom Additions

  • Integral insulation with architectural finish—combining thermal performance and visual quality in a single panel assembly
  • Custom dimensional configurations for non-standard vault geometries
  • Finish-matched panels for retrofit and expansion projects that need to blend with existing construction

How We Build SecurCast Enclosures

Every SecurCast project follows a four-stage process from initial consultation to completed enclosure.

Design and Engineering

SecurCast
Our engineering team works directly with your architects, project managers, and security consultants to define enclosure dimensions, security rating requirements, insulation specifications, and connection details. We then pair the panel design with vault doors, modular vault panels, and ventilators rated to the exact compliance standards your project demands.

Manufacturing

SecurCast
SecurCast panels are manufactured at our Siler City, North Carolina facility under our documented quality management system. Every panel is produced against project-specific engineering drawings and inspected before shipment. Rated vault products are built to their UL and GSA specifications by International Vault in Siler City.

Precision Installation

SecurCast
On-site installation uses mechanical and welded connections to assemble the enclosure. Each joint is engineered for structural integrity and security continuity—no panel-to-panel connection relies solely on grouted fill. Grouted connections are applied as a finishing step to complete the assembly. Vault doors and ventilators are installed in the same process, so the enclosure is handed over complete.

Verification and Handoff

SecurCast
The completed enclosure is verified against the project’s security rating and compliance specifications before handoff. Documentation including as-built drawings and quality records is provided for your facility’s compliance files.

Frequently Asked Questions

1What is a SecurCast enclosure?
SecurCast is Carolina Precast's system for rated secure enclosures. It pairs our structural precast concrete wall panels with UL-rated and GSA-approved vault products for government, military, pharmaceutical, and commercial facilities. Mechanical and welded connections provide structural integrity and security continuity at every joint. UL and GSA ratings are carried by the rated vault products paired with the panels.
2What vault products are paired with SecurCast panels?
SecurCast pairs our structural precast panels with UL-rated and GSA-approved vault products: security vault doors, modular vault panels, and emergency vault ventilators. Vault doors and modular vault panels are built to UL 608, ventilators to UL 680, and GSA-approved models to Federal Specifications AA-D-600D (vault doors) and AA-V-2737 (modular vaults). Specific products and ratings are selected during design to match your project’s compliance requirements.
3What security ratings do SecurCast enclosures meet?
SecurCast enclosures are designed to meet UL burglary-resistance ratings and GSA security specifications. The specific rating achieved depends on the project’s compliance requirements. Our engineering team selects vault products rated to the level your facility requires.
4Can SecurCast panels expand an existing vault?
Yes. SecurCast panels are engineered to integrate with existing structures for vault expansion projects. We assess the existing facility, design panels to the required dimensions, and pair them with vault products rated to the required security level. Installation uses the same mechanical and welded connection system used in new construction, so the expansion performs to the same standard as a ground-up build.
5What industries use SecurCast enclosures?
SecurCast enclosures serve government agencies (DEA, DOE, military), pharmaceutical companies requiring controlled substance storage, financial institutions needing vault construction or expansion, and commercial facilities with high-security storage requirements. Our products are listed on the GSA schedule for streamlined federal procurement.
6How is SecurCast different from steel modular vaults?
SecurCast enclosures use structural precast concrete panels rather than steel. Precast concrete delivers superior burglary resistance, fire rating, and blast attenuation compared to steel construction of equivalent thickness. Mechanical and welded panel connections provide structural continuity without relying on bolt-together assemblies that can create exploitable seams. For a detailed comparison of the two materials across forced entry, fire, and blast performance, see Precast Concrete vs. Steel for Secure Vault Construction. For a complete armory or classified storage vault delivered as a single factory-assembled unit, see Preassembled Armories.
7What size projects does SecurCast serve?
SecurCast is engineered for small-to-mid-sized secure construction projects: armory vaults, pharmaceutical storage rooms, bank vault expansions, evidence rooms, and similar enclosures. We do not pursue large-scale infrastructure or general commercial construction.
8What architectural finishes are available?
SecurCast panels accept form finish, chamfered edges, and bullnose profiles as standard options. Custom additions include integral insulation with architectural finish and finish-matched panels for expansion projects that need to blend with existing construction.
